RSPCA Asks Public For Help As Calls Surge

The number of telephone calls to the RSPCA’s 24-hour Cruelty telephone line more than doubled within four months, and the charity is asking the public to show patience as it prioritises the workload. This includes fielding more than 700 calls from complainants about a particularly controversial advert for betting company, Paddy Power, which appears to show a blind football team kicking a cat.
