It’s Not “Always The Same Breeds” Say Vets

The British Veterinary Association has joined in calls for the Government to tackle the problem of dangerous owners of dogs. The BVA has long been an outspoken critic of breed specific legislation, a law which seeks to lay the blame of dog attacks at the feet of just certain types of dogs. The BVA issued a statement today, which reads:

The British Veterinary Association, some of the UK’s largest animal charities, law enforcement agencies and unions have today (Tuesday) jointly called on the leaders of the main political parties to work together to introduce improved and updated legislation to protect dog welfare and public safety.
