In a previous issue of K9 Magazine we looked to the future to see what our dogs will be doing years from now. Which got us thinking, what would the world be like if dogs had never existed at all? Give it a moment or two to settle and this becomes a rather unnerving thought. Aside from the obvious lack of fun in the world, the entire cultural and political history of our planet would be altered.
We have lived with dogs for over 14,000 years. As pets, protectors, farm hands, hunters and transport, but without dogs, the inspiration to change the world, the courage to fight and win battles and the people who made the most difference would have been missing. Read on and be amazed at just how many times the humble dog has lent his paw to the development of the human race.
