Mindy’s early life in the Republic of Ireland is a heartbreaking tale of neglect. She was weak and desperately undernourished but mercifully she was signed over to a rescue centre where a Hearing Dogs assessor spotted her potential. Remarkably, despite her shocking appearance, Mindy was a happy, sociable dog and just what the Charity was looking for in a hearing dog recruit. After several weeks in the special care of a volunteer, Mindy’s fragile frame was transformed from skin and bone to the beautiful dog you see today.
