The East Anglian Game & Country Fair is an annual two day, family event held at the Norfolk Showground, Norwich. Next year's show will be held on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th April 2011.

We welcome world class events and attractions to the show each year including 6 times FITASC Sporting World Champion, European Champion and English Open Champion John Bidwell, who will be performing his off the hip shooting demonstration and new for 2011 Savage Skills the UK’s leading freestyle mountain bike stunt team perform their interactive and jaw dropping ‘Ultimate Air Show’ display. They will also be running an experience area where visitors can ‘have a go’ on bikes suitable for all ages.

We also welcome world famous horse behaviourist Richard Maxwell to the main arena, he will be demonstrating with some of his own horses and ponies with his 11year old son William as well as working on a few problematic horses brought to the show by members of the public. Richard mixes both traditional and alternative methods of horsemanship inspired by Monty Roberts who he spent time with in the Household Cavalry, to tackle the horse’s issues and strengthen the bond between owner and horse.

Other attractions include Dock Dogs. Watch dogs of all shapes and sizes leap into a large pool of water and see who gets the record jump. Sheep Dog & Duck Displays, the ‘Dog & Ferret’ arena with Simon Whitehead, West Norfolk Hunt Hound Parade, the hilarious Sheep Show, fishing demonstrations, a forestry arena and be amazed by the MBS Mountain Boarding team, as they perform spins and flip tricks over a Land Rover, dropping in off the trailer from a height of 20ft!

We aim to offer something for everyone with fashion & beauty workshops by John Lewis, Norwich. Plenty of children’s entertainment including walk on water balls, an animal area, slides, face painting, donkey rides, a carousel and the BeWILDerwood stand which is new for 2011. The award winning tree house Adventure Park will be attending, and getting energetic and creative by hosting a delightful array of activities that the Boggles and Twiggles would be proud of.

There are over 250 shopping stands with a great selection of products from Gunmakers, country clothing stands, fishing tackle, home wares and jewellery, a craft hall and a mouth watering food hall where you can sample some fantastic local produce. The ‘Game Fair Country Kitchen’ cookery theatre has a fantastic variety of cookery workshops and demonstrations taking place over the weekend from a great selection of local chefs, including game & rabbit cooking, grow your own vegetables master class with Home Grown Revolution and writer Keith Reeves plus performances from celebrity chefs, Chris Coubrough, Franck Pontais and TV Presenter Alan Coxon.

Get involved and 'have a go' at a range of country activities from clay shooting with John Bidwell’s High Lodge instructors or enter the 40-bird re-entry shooting competition. Fly fishing with the Salmon and Trout Association, ferret racing and archery to mountain boarding, mountain biking and even a free Treasure Trail around the show, just solve the clues to win some great prizes. Take a helicopter pleasure flight over the showground, try the air rifle range, hold an owl or take a ride in a Landrover on the off road 4×4 course.
