Dog Problems at Notting Hill Carnival

Claire Harper, a Mayhew Animal Home welfare Officer, was called out to a car parked in Queens Park, London (near to Notting Hill Carnival) with two tiny Yorkies trapped inside in the roasting 27 degree weather.

There were police on site so they broke the window of the blue Audi to rescue the dogs, who had extremely high temperatures and were very stressed from being trapped inside the vehicle. The Mayhew’s Animal Welfare Officer had to wrap them in wet towels to bring their body temperature down and cool them.
